Picture Archiving Communication Systems The Department of Radiology at Sahel General Hospital strives to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapies. The Department offers a wide array of outstanding clinical services moving toward a strategic healthcare solution viewed PACS as a tactical technology solution to deliver significant benefits to patients, radiologists, other staff members, and the hospital as a whole. SGH is among the first clinical sites in Lebanon to implement a digital radiography system linked to RIS / PACS (Radiology Information Systems / Picture Archiving Communication Systems) intends to stay at the forefront of this high-tech revolution. Ultimately, it helps provide better patient care. The PACS stores, displays and transmits all types of digital (computerized) medical images Allowing 24/7 on-demand Recall and Instant access to digital file within minutes of request – including CT, MRI, ultrasound. SGH has PACS viewing stations on all patient floors; Radiology, the Emergency Room and Surgery. Some doctors’ offices have viewing stations also, REMOTELY from their private clinics or any other place in Lebanon or overseas through a secured password protected internet connection.
